Urogynaecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Clinic

Our Urogynaecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (UPRS) Clinic at KUTRRH provides expert care for women with pelvic floor problems. These are conditions that affect organs such as the bladder, uterus, vagina, and rectum, as well as the muscles that support them. We aim to improve comfort, bladder and bowel control, and overall quality of life.

What We Treat

We help women with:

  • Pelvic organ prolapse – when organs like the uterus, bladder, or rectum drop from their normal position.
  • Vaginal problems – such as injuries due to childbirth, or from surgery, radiotherapy, as well as congenital problems (conditions one is born with, eg, absent vagina)
  • Genital fistula – abnormal openings between the bladder, ureter, rectum, and vagina, often caused by childbirth complications, surgery, and other treatments, eg, radiotherapy and conditions one is born with.
  • Urinary incontinence – leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, or feeling a sudden urge.
  • Anal/Fecal incontinence – difficulty controlling bowel movements, often after childbirth, surgery, or other forms of trauma
  • Overactive bladder – frequent or urgent need to urinate.
  • Pelvic pain – from childbirth injuries, surgery, or other treatments.
