Research and Grant Writing Training Session by Dr. Daniel Jameson

KUTRRH Chairperson, Board of Directors Prof. Olive Mugenda hosted Dr. Daniel Jameson, a Research Manager at the Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health from the University of Manchester, for a two-day training session. Prof. Jameson trained KUTRRH staff on Research and Grant Writing and also trained the KUTRRH Mental Health Department, Cardiology, and Stroke Medicine Team.

Prof. Olive Mugenda KUTRRH Board Chair hosted Dr. Daniel Jameson, a Research Manager at the Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health from the University of Manchester, for a two-day training session.

KUTRRH and The University of Manchester are collaborating on various research and healthcare initiatives, the most significant being the Oesophageal Cancer Research.

Dr. Daniel is a Research Development Manager at the University of Manchester, Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health. He supports researchers in developing their proposals and initiatives.

He has a PhD in Comparative Genomics and Evolution from the University of Manchester. He has held several post-doctoral positions as a bioinformatician, working on cross-species interactions, effective capture of experimental design, cellular imaging, and the modeling of large-scale metabolic networks.
Daniel is the primary research development contact for the School of Medical Sciences and manages the Faculty’s relationship with the Medical Research Council.

  • How to apply for United Kingdom Research Funding and application processes
  • Help KUTRRH staff, academicians, and researchers to put funding applications together
  • Help KUTRRH to identify people who can fill gaps in research applications and help build a community of researchers within KUTRRH.
