IAEA Expert Mission Visits KUTRRH for Training and Collaboration
A team of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) visited Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH) in November. The team was led by Prof. Tamer Sakr and Mr. Mohamed Swidan.
The IAEA is an international organization that works with over 164 Member States and numerous partners worldwide to promote the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear energy. It also facilitates the exchange of scientific and technical information among these nations.
The experts visited KUTRRH to train the Radio Pharmacy team on best practices to enhance the efficiency and safety of their work. The five-day training significantly enriched the team’s technological knowledge, ensuring the provision of world-class healthcare to patients.
Additionally, the visit aimed to explore collaboration opportunities between IAEA and KUTRRH. Strategic partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders have been instrumental in helping KUTRRH deliver quality, patient-centered care to Kenyans and beyond.
