Who is eligible for breast reconstruction surgery at this event?
Patients who have undergone mastectomy, lumpectomy, or require corrective breast surgery due to medical conditions are eligible for screening and potential surgery.
How can I register for screening and consultation?
You can visit the Plastic Surgery Clinic every Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at KUTRRH.

What types of breast reconstruction procedures will be performed?
The workshop will focus on the latest surgical techniques, including implant-based
reconstruction, autologous tissue reconstruction, and nipple reconstruction.
Will the surgeries be free or will I have to pay?
Patient are encouraged to have an active Social Health Authority (SHA) cover. Patients will
receive detailed cost information after screening and evaluation.
Who are the surgeons performing the procedures?
The surgeries will be conducted by a team of local and international experts, including faculty
from Kenya, Canada, Spain, and Ghana
. What is the recovery process after breast reconstruction surgery?
Recovery varies by procedure, but most patients can expect an initial healing period of 4-6
weeks, with ongoing follow-up care.
