Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, KUTRRH continues to reach out to vulnerable groups, strengthen community partnerships, and promote healthier, more empowered societies.
One such initiative took place during the commemoration of the Day of the African Child, observed annually on June 16. This year’s theme, “Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa,” highlighted the critical role that clean water, proper sanitation, and good hygiene play in safeguarding children’s health, dignity, and future.
To mark the occasion, KUTRRH staff visited Familia ya Ufariji Children’s Home, where they spent the day with the children in joy, laughter, and meaningful interaction. The celebration came alive through vibrant songs, energetic dances, and creative performances that showcased the remarkable talents, resilience, and spirit of the children.
The event served as a powerful reminder that every child deserves an opportunity to thrive when given the right support, care, and encouragement.
As part of the hospital’s CSR program, KUTRRH donated food items and other essential supplies to support the children’s well-being. Beyond the donations, staff spent valuable time engaging with the children, sharing stories, creating memorable moments, and demonstrating the compassion that lies at the heart of healthcare.
These outreach activities reflect KUTRRH’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact beyond the hospital environment.
