Exploring a Strategic Partnership to Boost Surgical Services at KUTRRH.

Kenyatta University Teaching Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH) today hosted a team from the American Charity Support Team of Surgical Services, led by Prof. Jani and Prof. Qureshi, in a courtesy meeting with CEO, Dr. Zeinab Gura.

The visit focused on exploring collaboration opportunities to strengthen our surgical services, especially neurosurgery, including support in advanced training, capacity-building, and specialized equipment.

Both teams discussed the potential to establish a Centre of Excellence in Neurosurgery at KUTRRH and highlighted the importance of a site visit to guide next steps. KUTRRH reaffirmed its commitment to expanding COSECSA surgical training and advancing regional leadership in specialized care.

Dr. Peter Njeru, Head of the Department, Surgery, will serve as the focal person for this engagement as we move toward formalizing the partnership through an MOU.

With JCIA accreditation underway, KUTRRH continues to strengthen its infrastructure for world-class care, research, and training.

This meeting marks a promising step toward a transformative partnership to elevate surgical and neurosurgical services for our patients and the region.
