On November 17th, KUTRRH proudly joined the global community in commemorating World Prematurity Day 2025 under the inspiring theme: “Give Preterm Babies a Strong Start for a Hopeful Future.” This special day brought together healthcare professionals, partners, parents, and preterm survivors to honor resilience, celebrate progress, and reaffirm our shared commitment to the tiniest fighters among us.

The event was graced by heartfelt speeches and powerful testimonies. Representing our CEO, Dr. Zeinab Gura, Dr. Michael Kezegule delivered a resonant address emphasizing the critical role of healthcare professionals in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). He applauded the strength of mothers and assured them that KUTRRH remains steadfast in delivering excellence and compassionate care to every preterm baby.

Nursing Director is a Preterm Baby Survivor

Adding a deeply personal touch, Dr. Pam Leila Ntwiga, Director of Nursing Services, shared her own journey as a preterm baby survivor. Her remarks celebrated the miracles that unfold daily in the NICU and highlighted the dedication of nurses who champion life-saving practices such as Kangaroo Mother Care. She called for equitable access to quality care for all preterm babies, reminding us that every life deserves a fighting chance.

Inspiring Stories of Hope

The day was filled with uplifting moments—parents shared inspiring stories of hope, specialists engaged in a thought-provoking round-table discussion, and NICU champions were honored for their unwavering commitment. The celebration concluded with cake cutting and a joyful photo session, symbolizing unity and triumph.

Gratitude to Our Partners

We extend heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors—Trinity Energies, Molfix, Jubilee Insurance, and Cussons—whose support made this event a resounding success. Together, we envision a future where every preterm baby receives the care, love, and support they need to thrive.

At KUTRRH, we believe that every tiny heartbeat matters. Today and every day, we stand for hope, resilience, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
