Dr. Anthony Kamau
Director, Clinical Services
Dr. Anthony Kamau Njuguna is a distinguished healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, pharmaceutical services, and strategic health systems leadership. With more than ten years in senior management, he has led transformative initiatives in clinical services, health technology assessment, and hospital operations within Kenya’s national referral system. He has made contributions in the public, private, and NGO sectors through the work he has done with different organizations.
Dr. Njuguna holds qualifications in Pharmacy, a Master of Science in Evidence-Based Pharmacotherapy, and a Master of Science in Health Technology Assessment, Pricing and Reimbursement. He has also undertaken advanced training in healthcare leadership, artificial intelligence, and information security.
He serves as the Acting Director of Clinical Services at KUTRRH, providing strategic oversight and driving quality improvement in healthcare delivery.
He has served as a Steering Committee Member for the Developing Countries Health Technology Assessments Interest Group, held various roles in the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya, and served as a Committee Member of the Ecumenical Scholarship Program Selection Committee for the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network. He is also a Mentor and Coach for the Public Service Emerging Leaders Fellowship Program
