In a fast-paced world filled with endless responsibilities and commitments, it’s easy to overlook the essential role played by housekeepers in our lives. World Housekeeping Week, celebrated annually in the second week of September, is a time to recognize and appreciate these unsung heroes who ensure our living spaces are clean, organized, and comfortable.
During the 2023 Mashujaa day, nurses crowned the Chairperson of KUTRRH, Prof Mugenda as their shujaa. Mashujaa Day, also referred to as Heroes' Day is a national day in Kenya, to celebrate those who fought for Kenya's independence and those who have significantly positively contributed to the post independence Kenya.
Ms. Ruth Manyagi is the Manager of the CyberKnife unit at KUTRRH. CyberKnife is a form of advanced radiation therapy treatment, offering precise and effective treatment options for a wide range of medical conditions, especially cancer, while minimizing side effects and improving the overall patient experience.
KUTRRH in partnership with the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK) commemorated the World Radiography Day at KUTRRH 2023 with a walk, free breast and prostate screenings and awareness talks by medical specialists. Close to 200 Kenyans from all walks of life underwent breast ultrasound and prostate ultrasound procedures.
